First Public Statement
My name is Tim Connors, and I am seeking the Republican Party's nomination to run for Representative to Congress in Ohio's 9th district this coming November. Since moving to Ohio from the Las Vegas metro area in 2009, I have spent my adult life cultivating character and working to better myself as an individual and member of the community. While studying at Columbus State Community College, I got my first job working manual labor in the aircraft industry near Gahanna. After a move to the Cleveland area and a handful of different labor positions, I transitioned into sales. The time I spent in sales deepened my understanding of people and helped me realize that I could better purpose my skills and principles. So, I did just that in 2016 when I started my first small business. In September of this year I am marrying my high school sweetheart, Michelle. She is my other half and I wouldn't be who I am today if not for her.
Why am I running for Congress? There are many reasons for why I am running, but it all boils down to a common motive: a sense of duty. Having been raised in a Christian family, I was taught that we are all responsible for building the kind of world we want to live in.
Rep. Marcy Kaptur will most likely be the Democrat on the ballot
this coming November, a career politician with nearly four decades in Congress.
Congress and many of its longtime members have obfuscated their
responsibilities for far too long. The people need someone in Washington with a
mindset of service. The people need our government to work for us to fix our
healthcare system, solve the immigration crisis, and reform our antiquated,
ineffective laws and agencies. If elected, I plan to pursue term limitations
for Congress and will seek to remove congressional immunity from the laws that
all citizens are meant to follow. I will seek to move away from wasteful,
omnibus-package budgets. Common sense governance is what the people need right
now. If that resonates with you as a person, I invite you to visit timconnorsforcongress.com
